Born within the Arctic Circle, Marie Ahnighito Peary had an amazing childhood as the daugher of the adventurous Admiral Peary. Her childhood included Inuit friends, Arctic storms, being ice-bound for months, and wearing caribou skin clothing. Second. I believe this goes for a much wider age range. I would give it grade 4-8. I like the personalization of the story with the children nicely described and integrated into the narrative. Photos are great.
